Description

Every morning I pinch myself,” says Bowen, 34, who has adapted the book for children due to popular demand. Life was strangling James until a puff of sunshine cat-walked into the soul of the homeless musician, offering him a paw to take on the world. Even though I did think that it's a little cheesy to say a cat changed his life, in this case it's the truth. The final destination on the front of the bus should therefore read 'Victoria Station' if it is heading south but in the film the front of the bus says the 38 bus terminates at 'Angel Islington' which indicates that the bus is travelling northwards and therefore in completely the wrong direction. This book is a really fast read and I think I value a lot the information about the homeless net and possibilities as well as the friendship and 'healing' of Bob.

This again reminds us that do not judge people based on their look or what they're doing, they might have other side of the stories that we do not know. From the author of A Christmas Gift from Bob, the original bestseller and heartwarming story of the life-saving friendship between a man and his streetwise cat '[Bob] has entranced London like no feline since the days of Dick Whittington. You could almost hear the audience warm to him from the first time we see him, helping himself to a box of cereal. Here is a quick description and cover image of book Bob: No Ordinary Cat written by James Bowen which was published in February 14, 2013. Like so many who have followed the lives of James Bowen and street-cat Bob, I was devastated to learn of the tragic demise of Bob on June 15th. When James and Bob meet, they forge a never-to-be-forgotten friendship that has been charming readers from Thailand to Turkey. I do kind of see how using an animal is a trend in street workers, but then again - James leaves no place for doubt and his care and love is wonderful and had me on the verge of tears many times. Bowen and Bob's public appearances attracted the attention of the Islington Tribune, which first published his story in September 2010.

Auch regt das Buch zum Nachdenken über das eigene Leben, seine Mitmenschen und natürlich auch vierbeinigen Freunde an.Bob was kept as an indoor cat in his later life, occasionally being walked in his harness in a local park by Bowen. When the cat was still there the following day, and the day after that, James became concerned and discovered the cat was wearing no collar or ID tag, and had an infected wound on his leg. Lovely illustrations, although I found it difficult to read because it upsets me to see cats, even painted ones, suffering or being abandoned. Bowen and Jenkins have done a wonderful job in how they create Bob’s story - from loosing his warm, loving home, to life on the streets for a cat, and finally to finding a new family with James.

Roger Spottiswoode is a talented director (just look at his CV) and yet he feels a strange choice to direct this. This was a book I read simply to satisfy my gnawing thirst for literature when I’ve devoured every book on my bookshelf. When he realised he wasn't going to find the owner, he released the cat back on to the street, hoping he'd find his own way home. Okay, now that I got that out of my system let me just say that my daughter has asked to read this over and over and over again.James Bowen was a musician without a home who had to busk on the streets of London to survive but when he meets a stray ginger cat his life begins to change. I bought the children's edition because I really wanted to have a copy with the pictures in too, as I think this adds to the book, but if I get chance I will read the full version. On 13 June 2020, Bob was fed in the kitchen of their home in Surrey and last seen at approximately 11:00 p.
